EB-2

National Interest Waiver

You may be eligible for this category of green card if you have an exceptional ability to benefit the interest of the United States. Exceptional Ability means a degree of expertise significantly above that ordinarily encountered in the sciences, arts, or business.
Aliens seeking a national interest waiver are requesting that the Labor Certification be waived because it is in the interest of the United States.

Advanced Degree Holders

This is an employment-based, second preference visa category for professionals holding an advanced degree or its equivalent.
 


EB-3

Skilled Workers, Professional, or other worker

You may be eligible for this immigrant visa preference category if you are a skilled worker, professional, or other worker.


EB-4

Religious Workers

You may be eligible for this category of green card if you are a minister or non-minister in a religious vocation and occupation.
 


EB-5

Immigrant Investors

The fifth employment based preference category was created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. Under a pilot immigration program first enacted in 1992 and regularly reauthorized since, certain EB-5 visas are also set aside for investors in Regional Centers designated by USCIS based on proposals for promoting economic growth.
